This project was a test project due to high level of incidents between drivers and a movable barrier. A high volume of car drivers look down on the road surface while driving, thus avoiding to see the important lane control signals above. So with the mix of topography, curve and ignoring the reduced speed limit, many drivers hit the barrier causing severe damages both to cars and barrier. A total damage can easily result in cost of € 50 000,00 plus the cost from public services like police work, fire brigade, ambulances etc. The idea of sending information to the car driver from where he or she actually looks is a good way of preventing these incidents to happen.
