Avinor installs full flush aiming zone and full flush runway centre, Norway |
During the summer and fall 2006 the Advanced Light series were installed on several Norwegian airports. This was to create a full flush aiming zone and full flush runway centre line.
The installations are a part of a program from the Norwegian CAA, AVINOR, where the intention is to increase visibility under low visibility conditions, i.e. snow and heavy rain. Pilots will now experience a substantial improved viewing cue on their descent towards the runway and more easily identify the aiming zone. When snow covers the runway centre line markings, the fully flush lights visualize the runway centre line and aiming zone markings, making the pilots job more comfortable thus also increasing passengers safety. Avinor plans to cover all regional airports in Norway with this system.

The inset lights on Karlstad Airport in Sweden has the last couple of years suffered from severe winter maintenance damages. Therefore they decided decided to replace existing lights with the Advanced Light series based on the feedback from successful installations at Arlanda Airport. The Advanced Light series drops perfectly into the adapter ring of the previous brand installed, and no extra measures have to be taken. |

LFV extends framework agreement, Sweden |

2008 Arlanda, Stockholm
LFV, Luftfartsverket (the Swedish CAA) has called their option for extension of the framework agreement of the supply of airfield lighting fixtures for one more year. This is a clear recognition of the Advanced Light product acceptance at one of Scandinavia’s major hubs, Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) as well on other Swedish airports.
This is a major international break through in recognition of the quality our product represents.
LFV has during the last couple of years carried out extensive trial programs with several suppliers of airfield ground lighting. Their decision is based on the extremely positive results from the Advance Light series, although the initial pricing was higher, the life cycle cost showed extreme benefits compared to any other supplier.
One of the good results was from runway 08-26 where five fixtures had been installed on a high speed exit over 15 months without lamp failure or replacement and without rubber build up in front of the prism! Any airport operator recognized this problem as a maintenance issue. |

Montreol Dorval orders Advanced Light fixtures, Canada |
After a long and thorough evaluation, with only positive experiences, Montreal Dorval International airport has chosen the Advanced Light series for their upgrade of taxiways. The decition is based on the fact that the fixtures have not suffered any damage from winter maintenance during the last couple of winters, thus eliminating maintenance issues.
This is another example where our lights prove that they reduce the maintenance cost with up to 70% compared with conventional fixtures. Moreover, the need for spare parts is absolutely a minimum compared to other suppliers, and the service time for re-lamping is just a matter of single digit minutes.
The supply took place late September 2006 |

LFV installs Advanced Light, Sweden |

September 2007 the Swedish CAA (LFV) installed more than 250 taxiway centre line lights from Lucebit Road. With immediate good feedback this order was increased to with another 50 units installed December 2007. So far LFV has concluded that the operation of the lights is going according to expectations. Zero to none damages and maintenance. |

Lucebit Road has supplied close to 100 units to Spain. The lights are installed in conjunction with the Vielha tunnel in the Pyrenees. The tunnel is equipped with three lanes that are reversible, and to avoid misunderstandings during the different driving patterns during snow fall, the lights are equipped with low voltage halogen bulbs instead of LED’s. This is needed due to the heat dissipation the halogen lamp gives. |

May 30th 2008 our Adcvanced Light series with bi-directional green LED's saw the daylight. 27 bi-directional fixtures over 200 meters distance were put into operation for its first time in Fornebu Park, the previous main airport for Oslo, Norway. The purpose of the lights is to remind about where the airport once was. The function is just for architectual landscape purposes. It was impressive to notice the brightness from the LED's at the extreme sunshine present. The distance between the lights are 7,5 meters.
The park was handed over to Statsbygg in September 2008. |
